A very warm welcome to the Parish of St Mary the Virgin Sherburn Village near Durham, a Church of England (Anglican) church in the Diocese of Durham.

Our regular services in church are:

Thursday Monthly Holy Communion. There is a monthly Holy Communion on Thursdays and these will re-commence on Thursday 4th July at 10.00am. Followed by Thursday 1st August, Thursday 5th September. Thursday 3rd October, Thursday 7th November and Thursday 5th December.

Other services are available to join via Zoom from St Giles: 11.00am Sundays, Eucharist; 6.00pm Sundays, Evening Prayer; and 10.00am Wednesdays Holy Communion.  If you would like to join in with any of these services please contact the Parish Office at stgileschurchdurham@live.co.uk to be added to the mailing list.

St Mary’s is here for everyone – if you or anyone you know would like to receive the weekly sheet or have a regular pastoral phone call please do let us know, and remember you can contact us by phone at any time during office hours.

The Parish Office, based at our sister church of St Giles’ in Durham,  is open on Monday and Wednesday mornings between 09.00 and 13.00 and we can be contacted on 0191 374 1079.
