All Souls Day Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving at St Mary’s

Each year on All Souls Day, St Mary’s commemorates all those that have died in the parishes of Sherburn and Shadforth in past year and remembers in prayer many others known to our communities. May they rest in peace and rise in glory.

St Giles’, St Mary’s and St Cuthbert’s celebrate the ordination of Rev. Dr Richard Briggs | 3 July 2016

On Sunday 3 July, a united eucharist was held at St Giles Church, Durham to celebrate the ordination of Rev. Dr Richard Briggs. We were delighted to welcome Rev. John Chapman, Chaplain to St George’s Church, Barcelona as our guest preacher. Congratulations to Richard and we look walking with him as he enters the next phase of his ministry. Thank you to everyone that participated in the service and who helped with the picnic afterwards!
